Career
In 1967, Paul Gentosi started his construction career on a part-time basis, working as a carpenter while attending college. After his graduation in 1972, he joined the company full-time, continuing in the same capacity as a journeyman carpenter and working on a wide range of product types. Paul credits these ten years of hands-on experience for giving him the unique understanding of construction means and methods that is so important in his current role as a construction expert witness.
During those years, his responsibilities grew as he assumed the duties of superintendent, estimator, project manager, operations manager, and executive vice president. Each of these roles provides him with the knowledge and ability to lead people whose jobs he truly understands.
In 1986, Paul became president of the family-owned company, which was founded in the late 1940s. With Paul at the helm, the company's average project size had grown tremendously by 1997 — Gentosi had penetrated a larger and more complex market. See a partial listing of past construction projects.
